Hello Stephanie,
Thank you for your inspiring podcast, I’ve been listening for years and already used lots of tips you gave in the podcast.
After listening to your podcast about soap, I thought about 2 extra tips I could give you. I live in Belgium (Europe) and bought a soap lifter from my local soap maker. This lifter causes the soap to dry faster. So you don’t loose al much soap usually stuck to the drying surface. I’ll link you this product: https://www.ecowarehouse.eu/nl/soaplift.
The other tips is a soap bag. You can collect the pieces of soap that are to small to use in this bag. Then you wash your hands with this bag like you would with a soap bar. I also liked your tips of making liquid soap, I find this bag to be even easier. Link: https://www.loofys.nl/shop/sisal-zeepzakje-naturel-biologisch-katoen/
I don’t know if these products are availible in the U.S., I hope there is an alternative.
Thanks a lot for your podcast,
Keep up the good work,
Kind regards,
Els Van Vlierberghe
I’m trying to resist the urge to buy a soap making kit from a local supply store and this episode is making it hard to resist. I want to get an A rating. lol
There was some really interesting info and I appreciate the episode. I’ve been deep diving to my laundry soap for ages trying to make sure it was all plastic free/semi okay for the planet, and totally forgot about the impacts of hand soap.
